The entrance to Massey Energy's Mammoth Coal Co. where on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007 union workers dismantled a picket shack that stood across the highway in Smithers, W.Va. Workers have been on strike since 2004 when Virginia based Massey bought the mine out of bankruptcy and reopened it as a nonunion operation.
